Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Have had a chat to an auto engineer in Sydney. He sees no issue with Land Cruisers and Patrols having 35's, and is willing to consider the 4 door Wrangler for 3" and 35's.

I have a 4 door CRD as well which I have 3.5" RE lift ...

Lightforce 240XGTs on the front bar then a set of Lightforce 170 strikers on windshield mounts

It's a great idea, but as has been pointed out, it would be very hard to make it work here in Australia. Overheads are high, especially insurance, and the market probably isn't big enough.

Who'd put Nissan diffs under a Jeep

Have you priced the custom built diffs up?

$2k for GU housings
$2k for lockers front and rear?
How much are the D60 inner and outer C's? From memory they're around $300 for each piece, but I could be way out. So that's $1200 for the front. You won't need it for the rear as you're not rear steering ...

You see it all the time with buggies, the guys with the D60's and similar gear drive the whole weekend and very rarely have diff related breakages. Guys running GQ/GU or 60/80 series with chromo gear still smash centres, snap axles/CVs etc.

I wanted to try that and balancing the front up in the air on the 70 degree ramp, but it's a pain to get my thing back on its wheels when I roll it

gotta say that i think these tracks were a major improvement on last years tracks and were probably the best tracks that i have seen at Tuff Truck..well done on stepping it up properly by making obstacles and not by bringing the bunting in tight with ridiculous corners like last year
