I'm very familiar with LJ10.com, but they can't help me.
LJ50's weren't sold in Europe and the US.
Most were sold in Australia.
I'm hoping an Australian LJ50 owner wil read my post!

picture request

Can anyone supply me with a good picture of the member, front mounting (part # 11630-63201) of a Suzuki LJ50?
It's the bar the engne is sitting on.

I can't order one new and I can't find one used.
So I'm going to fab my own.

But I'd like to make it look original.

Thanks,

Patrick

VIN

Can you tell from the VIN what year your Suzuki was built?
I have a LJ50 which was imported to my country in 1981.
It wasn't a new car when it was imported.
The VIN is LJ50-124487.

How many LJ50's were actually built?

Where can you find used LJ50 parts in Australia?
I've searched E-bay for months now without any luck.
Shipping a bonnet to Europe will cost a lot, but I would like to give my LJ50 the 'old style' look.
I'd prefer an original bonnet.
If that's not possible I'll try to fab my own.

But what if I want to give it the original 'old style' look with a flat bonnet.
Is it possible to make a flat bonnet from the raised bonnet?

I've got the 'old style' LJ50.
No wide wheel arches and front panel.
So it should have the old style bonnet.

LJ50 bonnet

Hi,

I live in Europe and own a LJ50. the original bonnet is missing (the 'flat' one)
There are plenty LJ80 bonnets around though.

!'ve never seen a LJ50 bonnet before.
Would it be possible to make an flat LJ50 bonnet out of a raised LJ80 bonnet?
Or are the dimensions all wrong?

Cheers,

Patrick

Thanks for all the info so far! I always figured the 1.8 Baleno/Esteem engine wouldn't match the 1.6 Vitara/Tracker gearbox. In this thread is says the bellhousing configurations are very different: http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic.php?t=50808&highlight=baleno But if the 1.8 Baleno and 2.0 ...

new and question

Hello, I'm Patrick from Holland. I have 4 suzuki's (Samurai, SJ413K, LJ80V and LJ80Q). I'm trying to fit a Suzuki Baleno 1.8 16v engine into my SJ413 Pick Up. Somebody at Zuwharrie.com told me that maybe someone on this forum could help me out! I'm looking for the right transmission. I know the 1.8 ...
