The main difference in fly wheels is weight and friction. Friction can effect how well the plate grabs intially and how much torque it can handle before slipping. I doubt there is much difference though and the clutch material is the more import factor Weight, the lighter the flywheel the less low ...

Where did you get the winch at that price? I'll be getting myself another one soon, enjoyed it so much the first time.... They are $360 at the 4WD Service Center in Taren point (Sydney) and they gave me a 10% discount, most likely as I had problems with a fuse box they ordered, it was cracked in ...

You should take it to a company called CGC turbos or call them west of sydney and they might be able to match an aftermrket flange for it. realistically you should be able to get a new turbo for less than $1500 if you find the right place. I remeber my mates dad going through this with his patrol ...

Water leaking pretty muck means it needs a rebuild or replacement, from memory the patrols are not cheap turbos to replace. Oil could be blow by (is you dads car running stock boost), turbo seal failure or represent another engine problem such as a broken ringland. A compression and leak down test ...

It is a good idea to use both, this is what we used in track motorsport, you are pretty much garuanteed it will never leak. I used always use High temp silicon on my gaskets and it is ok by itself. Make sure you get Hi temperature silicon though from an auto store, it comes in little tubes. And if ...

I used this stuff to solder on battery terminals ring fittings on and I crimped them as well. Hi luxtce, usually either soldering or crimping by themselves, will give you a good secure connection but if you want to do both, you must crimp first then solder. The reason for this is that if you solder ...

Thanks Mate I am going to do a full build up thread, if it gets moved I will alter it as can be. This is a recent model so any feed back is good for the members IMO (in my opinion).
