We have a Froza (narrow track) which is being converted to a 'toy' when the JK Wrangler arrives. At the moment we have 1.5" King Springs in the back and have wound up Torsion bars to suit. We need to run bigger tyres, so need more lift. Primarially working offroad (onroad manners aren't that es...

G'Day all!

Does anyone have the specs for a 1995 Feroza's Valve Clearances and the sequence. My wife's Fro is getting a bit noisy and needs an adjustment!

Thanks

Upgrading- GQ to Deisel Paj- Tips???

Hi all! I am looking to upgrade my current GQ TB42 as, I am afraid, she's a 89 Model and getting a bit long in the tooth. I am looking around the $25,000 mark for the replacement and the requirements are 1999 Model at earliest, 100,000k's plus minus not much, manual. I have looked through the Papers...

There's a mob in Brissy who import low k Jap engines and give warantee.

They have TB42's in stock, I think somewhere around $2,000 for the motor complete.

I would be going down that path. Rebuild would be worth more than the car from a Mechanic.

Test drove one on the weekend, very nice (was the Sport 4 Door V6).

There's (supposedly) only 1 litre/100km difference between the Diesel and the Petrol though, the petrol's a nice engine.

Although, the thought of a peak torque band from 2,000-2,600 on the Diesel makes my mouth water! :)

Bolts are Torque to Yeild, they are not ment to be re-used. Buy new ones.

Cost me $60.00 for an entire set. Not worth the risk of re-using.

There's a Solinoid which controls the fuel cut out and LPG delivery system, I can't remember what it's called but it should be located on the front of the Carbie/Intake Manifold. I would bet that this is the issue and needs replacing.

Take it to a LPG Specialist.

No, have heard some good things and some bad things about this repair.

How long have you been using yours for like that?

G'Day all! Having some issues with my Thermo Fan clutch. Basically, it's buggered! Or you can pull the head yourself and shoot it off to a specialist Head Reconditioner (or just buy a new casting).

I did mine and, to be honest, it was pretty straight forward. Saved about $1-$1.5k on the repair.

If you need any help, feel free to PM me.

I would be taking it out of the tank and just checking it all out. They are expensive to replace and you'll hate yourself if you buy a new one only to find that the PC Board Connection was a bit loose.

It's a 15 minute job, pull it out and check from there.

The TB42S Pick-up incorporates a Pick-up and Sender (no pump) which is the one Nissan wanted $185 for.

I think the TB42E has a Pick-up pump

The TD42 is just the pick-up/sender combo

What's wrong with it? Why do you say it's Dodgy?

And, for a new one, try $185 from Nissan. This is due to the fact that the Fuel Pick-up is incorporated into the Sender Unit. Priced one for a mate the other day. Regardless to say, we fixed it rather than replaced it! :)

A possible solution that I just read on the Patrol.com site. May be of interest.

Is your fan 5 or 8 bladed?
And that looks like a Petrol Viscous Hub, looks exactly the same as mine (TB42).
