Winch Rebuild

Hi,

I just bought a Magnum 9K winch from the wrecks at a really good price. I just want to rebuild it before I fit it to the bar. Does anyone have or know were I can find a procedure for rebuilding a winch? I guess it can’t be to hard, but just want to have something to go from.

Ted.

Hi MIck, I have had the Bruce Davis Chip in my 2001 Defender since it was 12 months old and Land Rover has never said anything to me in that time. I also have the extended warranty and Land Rover asked me if I wanted to apply for it. I guess if they can tell they have never both to look or don't ...

I might have to give Bruce a ring and see if he can reconfigure mine if I send it up to him. How much did it cost to get it reconfigured Barry.

Teddy I have a Bruce Davis chip upgrade and I got the intercooler from Mike (Roverworks) in SA. I'm in Central Qld and the upgraded intercooler really makes a difference up here. I think Mike had a couple of intercoolers made to a special order and I'm not sure they are commercially available ...
