It is the rear left and the carrier bearing is thrashed also looks like the backing plate for the crown wheel took it as well. I am hoping to fix it fairly easily with my brothers help and i do hope the locker didn't get wreaked as well. At the moment i don't care how i fix it as long as it drives ...

I had a TRX for a few years was a great car and not any issues exept the gear box goes on them because of the pressure from the lsd back onto it and the timing belt goes so watch that mate. As for putting a turbo on one i doubt it would take it. I did however thrash the ever loving s.hit out of it ...

Was all fine mate had the brake shop guy look over them and in his opinion they were in good condition. Just took a lot of work to get them clean. You can't go to town on them with anything heavy or rough as you will take the hard facing off them then they really are dead.

All sorted now some very fine steel wool was needed to get the crap off it. Gave everything a good rubber grease put it back on with the new pads and works a treat. With my bro help was quite easy to do in the end. Both sides were very dirty i take it that a full going over was way over due.

Adding to my post yes it will run larger tires as has been stated but you would really need to change diff ratios from the standard 3.9 to 4.1, 4.3 or 4.88 that would make a massive difference and is what i want to do to mine 4.88 that is.

They have 3 plus an overdrive. If he is solid on a manual go that way because you are limited with how well the auto goes reg big wheels etc.

To be 100% sure get the car engineered with the larger wheels on it. If thats not really an option then risk it the cops wont really pick it and if you did have a bust up change the before your car was looked at by the insurance people. If though it was so badly beaten up that the wheels can't be ...

I am in two minds as to the soft locker really want a little more from the front but imagine the manual ones are better. I already have the ARB in the back just want the front to have a little more go but don't have the cash.
