Been there done that
Had the same thing happen to me on the GQ with a 1.6 t van on the back, in the wet. Ended up on the back of a towie with the van behind. Was the scariest trip home I've ever had. Did the rotor, bearings and never found the new tyre I'd just put on, went down into the scrub never to be seen again ...

How do I get go out of 4.2 Petty on gas/fuel
Hi, I have a 4.2 93 fuel injected petty on gas, and It's as gutless as all hell, Changed leads, plugs, filters, fuel pump, timing is right, replaced gas mixer. Any ideas as to what to do next, Would love to turbo it but can't part with the $ yet. Cheers Gazza

hungy
15's won't fit over brake calipers, I used to have 35" claws on my hungy and they hit ever so slightly on the back inner tubs, but not on the front at all even on full lock, at full flex, it also had a 3" lift. Gazza!

combo tank
Arb do a combo tank for the 100 series, It's a 120 l fuel and 55 l water and replaces the spare wheel so you'd have to get a rear wheel carrier I guess. They also make bladders to fit inside the rear quarters both sides. I've also read about people fabricating them into the sidesteps in stainlees ...

100 Series Front Leading Arms
Hey fellas, looking for some help, the front leading arm has broken the mount on the diff, causing it to leak somewhat. Is it poss to weld this back together or will it weaken the diff housing. Thanks Gazza.
Should've kept the wheels on the ground I spose.

I got one. It was standard when I bought it and I tow a work trailer 850 kgs every day, uphill. You could say its very slow without the turbo, so slow that you could walk faster when towing uphill, but after a little $ at Arb a denco was installed and I get one extra gear out of the old girl going ...

I had A 04 3.0TD hilux with a 2.5 inch from the turbo all the way back, you get the whistle when under throttle, but found it to be a bit to loud on the longer trips. Does also help with the fuel econamy a touch as the exhaust gases are escaping quicker I spose. Gazza!

It seems t be a lot of time and money for a conversion if you have a well running motor already, I don't think that for the extra km per litre that a conversion would be warrented. I have a 1hz turbo(not factory) with 200 litres on board and get just over 1000kms for the two tanks, thats after it ...
