as above. I replaced the link rods in my 3inch lifted 60 series with rods from a commodore. stronger than original and about 2 1/2 inches longer. used new washers rubbers and nylock nuts. handling improved greatly. this was after a few months driving with the new springs on the original sway bar ...

if it is now overfueling, then maybe the fuel governing diafragm in the rear of the fuel pump is shagged. they perish if they get too much oil blown in from the manifolf. about $100 bucks from any diesel fitter. mine went in the bush and the revs just kept climbing. good luck. if it is just that you ...

hot engine , straight into a cold bath. different metals and gasgets all cooling and shrinking at varied rates. seems i have seen this myself on a couple of wombat trips. diffs aren't the only bits that ingest water. did you use a truckload of grease in the freewheel hub? if so this can stop it from disengaging, it just sucks back onto the gears. scott

Re: clutch pedal pressurising in 97 GQ ute
quick follow on to this.
just changed the slave from the early eighties model to the later model slave that came with the 5 speed boxes. about twenty mm longer stroke length. now it( the piston) stays in the barrel and doesn't wobble and pop out.
may help with your issue.

Re: internal beadlock help please
it sounds like you may have a puncture in the beadlock. this is leaking out and pressurising the tyre. take it out and check it. if the tyre inflates to the beadlock pressure it may fail.
good luck.
good luck.
