Rainsey The bloke I bought my MU off bought a 99 Rodeo and swapped all the good bits over. This included the rear axle disc to disc and front diff. Straight swap no dramas. As far as diffs I'm not sure of the difference but he did say part of the reason for the swap he already had a lokka for the MU ...

Firstly i'm no expert but I've got a 3.1TD MU. When I was running 31" tyres it sat just over 3000RPM but with the 33's it sits about 2500-2750. I do the oil every 5000km oil filter every 10000km the rest of the servicing is pretty much the same.

I built my own wheel carrier as well, got the stub axle, collar(with bearings and seals) and latch from Martins Trailer Parts. Unfurtunatly looking at the web site there only here in Perth but I'm sure most trailer part shops will have them.
