Re: who has fitted a gt2860 to a 1hdt 80 series
Hi all, I have a Dieselex CT26 on my 1HDT. To say that I'm happy would be an understatement. It spools by 1200rpm and pulls strongly from 1400rpm. It's early days for me because I went from a 1HZ to a rebuilt 1HDT and put this turbo straight on. So no before and after impressions. I've only got ...

Re: 1HZ out for 1HDT conversion
You can use the 1HZ gearbox behind the 1HDT, you will need a 1HDT bearing and clutch cover and an NPR Isuzu driven plate with the correct outside diameter and the right spline to suit the gearbox. If you look on the Clutch Industries website you will find the ID and spline count for the 1HZ driven ...

Re: HZJ80 engine removal question
I left the gearbox in mine when I did it, I removed the radiator and I removed the condensor only because I was doing other work with the AC at the same time. There should be enough room to get the engine out without removing the condensor. Thanks mate, that was my theory but I wanted to confirm ...

HZJ80 engine removal question
Hi folks, I am taking the motor out of my 1997 GXL 80 Series 'Cruiser. Does anybody know if I can just whip the fan and radiator out and pull the engine (leaving the g/box in the car)? At a look it seems like that's possible, I was hoping not to have to pull the condensor, radiator support etc. if I ...

PS. It's also possible to run an oil line from somewhere (maybe the oil pump, or a gallery...) and tap it into the timing cover so that it puts oil directly onto the dizzy drive. That also helps. I used -3 sppedflow line anf fittings, brake line size, and it worked a treat. Once again, if memory ...

Hi, This might apply. The rover V8s use the cam to run the dizzy and the botom of the dizzy runs the oil pump. The problem used to be, when revved hard, that the cam would 'walk' in the block and root the dizzy drive. To lessen that effect a 'teflon' button was put in the end of the cam that ran ...
