as for the CV's, which should help identify diffs.

GQ cv joints will have 100AC NTN stamped on them.

GU joints will be stamped 109LAC.

when you need replacements just sing out mate, always got genuine joint available!

The axles are different between leaf spring & coil spring front!
Cv joints are the same.

thank you very much CV1, great to have a chat! Also went into my local Don Kyatt to get a replacement hub washer and they too said the 80 series only has one clip on the inner axle shaft. :cool:

As per your picture the clip on the right is what holds the CV to the axle.
The clip on the left is what holds the CV locked into the hub.

Or its likely the inner race has cracked and starting to spread (hence the tightness) , i've seen that happen on plenty of fourby cv joints.

has anyone got any info on the 50 buc cv's. are they as strong as ntn's
ive considered getting a set n welding rings on them. till i have a need for something stronger.


another question, how will gq front centres hold up with stronger axels and cv's? i know they are strong but your doubleing the ...

Always drive against the internal race to avoid damaging the housing or cracking the cage.

Or just damage them and ring us for new ones!
