Just thought i might add my experiences with TD shocks... I've had toughdog big bore adjustables for just under 2 years now (on an 80 series with a set of TD heavy duty 2" coils). I ended up going with these shocks on the recommendation of a few mates within my 4wd club who have a lot of experience ...

it would def be a good investment to pick up one of the workshop manuals (gregories or similar) for your vehicle. they are about $50 and tell you what needs to be done when and how to do it.

The other advantage with using a tow bar setup as opposed to a single recovery hook is that the towbar will distribute the load more evenly between both chassis rails. Assuming the bolts are correctly rated this would be my preference as this will spread the loading throughout the chassis rails more ...
