Totally agree, also use the side of the front body mount with a plate approx 100mm x 250mm X 6mm plus located with 3 bolts and then weld a 40x 40mm rhs along the plate to locate the front of the slider
I have been inspected by Qld transport with these and no problems

I my experience, my 04 gu ute has an approved 50mm body lift which was inspected by the woodridge transport dept over the pits' At the time it was fitted with a heavy duty 2" set of springs, which is 3" - no problems. This was about 3 years ago. I was running all the standard arms and had no problems

Try some fiberglass (boat) polish It leaves a better finish on old paint
