I put a set of rancho 9000's in my GQ with about 6" lift with 3" body lift. Just grab the adjuster dial and wind it all the way up to "slot car" for use on road. Less body roll than stock and no need for sway bars.

Rta regulations for exhaust pipes
Does anyone have the specs for how far back the exhaust has to finish.
I've been told 6 inches past the last opening window..
Just need to know before i go for a blue slip.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought you needed all 3 #'s to work out the height. in that crappy style anyway. if it was 225/75r15 it would be a 15"rim, 225mm wide and the 75 is the sidewall heaigh as a percentage of the width... But i've never know'n for sure. i like 37x13.5x15 much better. Steve

what car? what engine? what transmition? and nissans run a spiggot bush instead of thrust bearings Half right. Nissans do have a spiggot bush. but that in no way replaces a thrust bearing (same shaft, different place) If it's not whining or whisteling it's probably not the thrust bearing. Could be ...

Definatley worth the dollars. good for about 150,000 k's self cleaning etc. last time you should ever need to change the plugs. Active auto sportique in homebush is the distributor for them, if thats close enough to you pop in. They will tell you the best one's for the job and i cant see you finding ...

I'd say leave it the way it is. out of the factory nissans have 4 degrees positive castor. the specs are 2 degrees plus or minus 2. take the 4 you've got and the 3 that'l come off you're left with one degree, well within spec and alot closer than stock.. I got done with mine.. an expert put 7 degree ...

Endless air type compressor mounting
I was just looking to see if anyone makes, has plans for or has any advice for mounting an aircon type compressor to a 4.2p gq with air con.
I still want to keep the air con and dont want to go through all the r&d if someone else already has.
Thanks

I've broken 2. first was a 12 yr old genuine one. pulling someone in reverse 37" claws loosing and getting traction, high revs and on full lock. completely shattered everything on that one. replaced that with an aftermarket job and broke that about 6 mths later. smashed the bell, stripped the axle ...

This is just what i've heard, but the GQ's running gear was still made in the truck plant (as we know most is straight from the 7T trucks, thats why they are so bloody strong and heavy) where as the GU's gear is now made in the car plant and just isn't as strong. But as i said, thats just what i've ...

I've got a lwb with a 4" lift with 3" body lift and 37" baja's. i had to cut 2" out of the back of all the arches. I'm not too sure about the 35's but logically i'd say you would deffinately need the body lift and/or cut the guards. I've also got the petrol carby motor and with 37's it still has all ...
