I forgot the hand break cable doh! What model hilux can I pillage one from?

I have a 1993 Dual Cab Hilux Solid axel that now has widetrack IFS hubs and an IFS rear diff. The hand break cable is now to short drum to drum by 3"

What's the best way to fix this?

Which hilux can I source a handbreak cable from? That will now suit my 1993 Dual Cab Hilux

Is BHP different to HP?

Trying to find BHP figure for the 3L engine.

Someone told me 93 Diesel was G52 with gear transfer. They must have been mistaken.

Ok so If I have a G52 and a chain transfer already and I find an R151F will that bolt up or should I be trying to find a R151F with transfer inc?

What kind of strength difference is there between the chain and gear units? Is it worth purchasing the following and keeping my gear?

he is broke so looking for a cheap second hand options for shocks and spring prefferably with a bit of lift too

Not sure I'm following 100% If i put an 80's front diff in and swapped my rear for and IFS unit the front would be 1" winder than the rear?


IFS widetrack is ment to give 1.5" each side.

I'm trying to pen and papper my 1UZ-FE Swap. Dellows provide the following kit to hook up the 1uzfe with a R15x box.

*Please note I'm not a mechanic just a maniac with a dream and no woman to say no* so if i'm off track with some of this info it's because I have no idea what I'm talking about ...

Box shifts perfectly

Motor had the injectors done at 160,000 so they should still be good.

200,000kms, timing belt done, serviced every 5,000kms

How much should I ask for the boat anchor and gear box.

I didn't think it could be done... but I was reading a 4wd mad ( no idea which issue ) and I saw a LN106R with a pair of 12's behind the rear seats. Essentially they where just mounted to a huge bit of MDF with no enclosure behind them. (not ideal but they appeared to fit?)

Well... that's lies..the seal on the water pump has started to leak but I don't really thinks that counts. The 4 banger ran fine with out water for hell knows how long and is still going strong ...

After a bit of reading the R15x looks like the strongest choice out of the toyota boxes.

Just wondering if anyone has kept ther W5x or G5x series gearbox?

I see most of people who have done the swap have kept the standard hilux box.

Exactly how hard can it be driven before it vaporises the internals? :D
