My old man's got a 2003 st 3L TD. He tows a 3 tonne 21 foot caravan hell west and crooked. The only thing he's done is an alternator. It's got over 110k's on it mostly towing. Seems to me the earlier problems were fixed.

I've very recently done this conversion on my 96 pootrol. I used all VL commodore parts. Any questions just ask. I found it reasonably easy to do, just a bit tedious making sure everything was done. You will be better of if you get the whole car (I did for $250) so you can take everything you'll ...
