Hi Guys, I'm following this closely cause I'm about to do the same to my 40 in a month or two ... starting to source parts in the next few weeks etc... thing I hate about my setup is the 75 series column, would have modified the stock one or used a 55 series one if I did it again. Out of curiosity ...

engine number

You should find the engine number on the block between the distributor and the firewall on the flat section of the casting. Thats where it is on all of mine..

ok here it is I got a new motor for the 60 which had a tacking noise so I thought it was just the valves that need doing any way did that. Still the same so pulled the rocker gear off and pulled the push rods out and swap it over from the old engine that was in there cause I know it was not making ...
