G'day, on a series 2 the sender is under the alternater, so for access the alternater needs to be removed. Not sure about later model v6's, though the senders are probably in the same position.
Cheers, Chris.

Ln106 VP V6 to ECO V6 wiring?
G'day, I've got an Ln106 running a series 2 3.8 V6 and wouldn't mind updating to a later model V6, Ecotech for example. Just wondering what the difference in wiring is between the two different donks? Also I'm running a manual 5 speed which I wish to retain... All helpful hints are appreciated ...

Re: plasma cutters???
G'day, if you aren't going to use compressed air then nitrogen is the go, the portable Thermal Dynamics plasmas we have at work are pretty thirsty on the nitro though so they're used with air when possible.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I have an Ln106 which was a 2.8 diesel. Have retained the diesel radiator but am running a Marks engine fan, well originally was a Marks fan but have now modded the pulley to incorporate a viscous clutch for water crossings. An engine driven fan will pull approx 2/3rds more air than a thermo so no ...

G'day, I've got a Unitig 200amp AC/DC. It's a great machine for the price, I got mine for $1590 plus $220 for the foot controller. Because a workmate and I bought one each at the same time the rep threw in some Tig gear. The only thing I would knock it on is it doesn't quite get hot enough for 6mm ...

G'day, I'm running the Marks slave cylinder with my conversion without any problems. Also my extractors run very close to the slave. Getting the clutch fork throw correct is a big factor. Another thing that helped was a braided hose, less bulging of the hose means more throw of the fork. Sorry can't ...

Was talking to a bloke who had one in his 1st gen single cab lux a few years ago at a downhill meet. Don't know much about how he went about the conversion sorry, but when we caught up with him on the freeway it pretty much kept up with my 3.8 lux from 80k's until about 140k's. It's accelleration ...

Will 80s diff bits swap into a 100s rear housing??
Hey all, I'm currently swapping a 100s diff into the rear of my lux. It'll be a piece of piss they said... yeah right! Couple of dramas, firstly the 100 has 5 stud wheels, secondly 15in rims don't fit over the 100s brakes. So because I have the 100 housing already i'm wondering if the 80 bits will ...

Hey Matt, nothing at all wrong with the lux diffs, they were so cute and small
Yeah the Cruiser diffs are the way to go, got an 80 series centre in the rear and a cruiser high pinion in the front spinning Longfield axles and CV's, all good now!
How's your rig going mate?

I started off with the Marks engine driven fan but needed a way to stop it for water crossings on our Cape trip last August so looked into clutch fans and yeah, Marks wanted too much and a mob in WA wanted $700 for one. After a bit of web searching when the $AU was alot better I sourced the parts ...

G'day, in my V6 Lux i'm using a standard Holden V6 pressure plate with a standard Holden V8 clutch plate. Flywheel is V6. G'day, I read a bit about them and they seem like a great idea but I just couldn't justify paying the $400 for one so I made my own stainless two zone. We recently did an 8 week trip using it and it was bloody awesome! We used it to put our drinks in the top (fit a case of tinnies) and made ...

Hey pal, here is a pic of what I did on mine. I'm using the standard 2.8D radiator. I can't remember which outlet i had swapped over to the other side to do it this way and it helps being a Sheety to do it like this too, but you should be able to either use exhaust pipe or I think there is universal ...
