G'day, on a series 2 the sender is under the alternater, so for access the alternater needs to be removed. Not sure about later model v6's, though the senders are probably in the same position.

G'day, I've got an Ln106 running a series 2 3.8 V6 and wouldn't mind updating to a later model V6, Ecotech for example. Just wondering what the difference in wiring is between the two different donks? Also I'm running a manual 5 speed which I wish to retain... All helpful hints are appreciated ...

G'day, if you aren't going to use compressed air then nitrogen is the go, the portable Thermal Dynamics plasmas we have at work are pretty thirsty on the nitro though so they're used with air when possible.

Yeah that minor detail was overlooked when sourcing bits n pieces so the housing is 100s and the rest of the bits are 80s. All standard parts is the best thing about it (apart from the modded housing).

G'day mate, This is the 100 series rear diff I cut and shut for my Lux. Basically cut the long side down to the same length as the short side, overall it ended up about 15mm wider than standard Lux diff. Gained full floater rear, discs and shitty criuser handbrake... ah well can't win em' all ...

Hadofen in QBN would be able to bend up all your tube, then all you ned is someone to weld it up for ya. Depends if you were wanting to mount a winch etc this would determine how much time to fab mounts, brackets.

The diff pumpkin is different (the center ) it is a different type size etc the brakes are similar to late 80 series the stud pattern is different there are 2 different track widths as well ifs and live front (100 and 105) So does that mean the centre from an 80 (not sure what year it is) won't ...

Hey all, I'm currently swapping a 100s diff into the rear of my lux. It'll be a piece of piss they said... yeah right! Couple of dramas, firstly the 100 has 5 stud wheels, secondly 15in rims don't fit over the 100s brakes. So because I have the 100 housing already i'm wondering if the 80 bits will ...

35x12.5x15 cost me $380 last week, $40 dearer than about 12 months ago d'oh, and BTW that's in A.C.T.

Yeah mate, with the Marks kit the mount hung down far too low and on up travel the arms really caned the bottom of the mount. I ended up cutting up the mount and completely redesigning it. Hopefully the pic shows how.

Yep that's where mine is. It's out of the way but still with good access! I screwed the bracket to the hat section the front seat front mounts sit on.

Hey, here's how I made minein my Lux. 1.6mm zincanneal Tig welded. Obviously the pick up had to be modified also, for this I cut the ends of it off and brazed a copper pipe bent to suit to them.

Yeah the Cruiser diffs are the way to go, got an 80 series centre in the rear and a cruiser high pinion in the front spinning Longfield axles and CV's, all good now!
