alternator issues,

either dodgy connections or it's on its way out

these are very temperamental about voltage, if you replace the alternator, make sure it has a long warranty, or is genuine... they have a habit of killing low quality alternators

The other thing that is not well known is, in Qld at least, you can't go down a rim size. So the majority of hiluxes on 15s are technically illegaly modified but you would have to be unlucky to get done for it.
