Its on the compliance plate. Under the bonnet. The code is only 1 code then you have to look that code up in a paint code book that will give you the both codes for the 2 tone.

valve clearances on td 42

Is doing valve clearances on gq td42 the same method as doing a petrol motor as in sequence? I've worked on plenty of petrol motors but trying to learn more about diesel.

Yes leave the oiler out, i had them in my tools for a couple of years and the oil level was always the same. Better to put drop of oil in yourself.
