Sweet!! I am heading to Vegas this weekend and then driving out to KOH on Wednesday. Got a 4 door wrangler and I am hoping I can find a camping store to buy a matress and sleeping bag so I can sleep in the back of it :D Stay until after the race and then head back to Vegas for the weekend, before ...

Re: King of the Hammers 2011 trip planning / JV info

Hows the prep work coming along? Is it worth being there for all of the pre-race days? What dates is everyone looking at getting out there? Does anyone have a spare spot in an RV? I think I will do something along these lines: Feb 8th - fly from NY to LA Feb 9th or 10th - Drive from LA to JV Feb ...

Nice work Ben!!

I have just moved to New York, but I am definitely keen on making it to KOH.
Just need to work out the dates etc.

If you know of anyone with some room in an RV let me know as I will be solo.

Does anyone have any info on tyre coverage?
Interested in front more than top down coverage as I have a jeep and looking from front on the tyres are out there.

i have seen cars with high steer before but never really understood the benifits.. Bigger links Improved geometry that takes into account your lift more clearance less prone to damage Whats not too like? This is all jeep but you get the idea http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/Steering ...

Re: Tuff Truck 2011 Rules

Reverse penalties are great! We used to have WErock and OZrock events where someone could win with just a couple less reverses for the whole weekend. Or if someone used rear steer and you managed to drive the course without it you were one up and putting the pressure on!! Made you really start to ...

How much uptravel you need really depends on what you are doing with the vehicle. Rock crawling is going to be completely different to a high speed setup. Hemis and jeeps are sooooo good, but really living here it just doesn't make much sense when you drop an LS1/2/whatever in and get all of the aftermarket and local knowledge. What did he break in the atlas? We have been abusing one for years behind 42's and tuned LS2's without any issues. The only ...

It seems a standard rubicon comes with a 255/75/17 which is 32.1" tall tyre from factory. According to current QLD rules you can do a 15mm increase which basically gets you to 33" legally. Although I am guessing you could run a 35" and get away with it...they don't seem to look that big on a JK ...
