I used a Nive for competition trials for many years, good little truck. I had a Fiat 2000cc twin cam engine ( UK Mirafiori ) , not a weekend conversion. Some Lancia engines fit as do some Peugoet diesels without major hassles. The front diff's come loose and get trashed if run when loose, if it's ...

the 'gone2far' guys are good, there stuff is quality and it works.

There 'revolver' shackles and a good set of parabolics make a good conversion.

Small stones between the front disc brake shield and the disc?

That makes some horrible noises under braking sometimes

When I got the old trialer first, about 10 years ago, I drained the sludge outta the box and put EP 90 in, it's still in there !

I hope to have the rig going in the next few weeks, I'll post some action shots with luck.

No, they're untested. But if the Fiat cylinders aren't good enough then I'll buy a CNC lever set. If that doesn't work, then I have another plan! Some of the other guys in my club have fiddle brakes and use the CNC levers, but they have them piped into the existing braking system so that they use ...

Can you tell what it is yet?

Here's a link to some pic's of my latest creation, and there is a Daihatsu connection here, the g'box is from an ancient F20. The rest of it is - Very modified Suzuki chassis, Subaru Brat engine, Range Rover axles, springs and power steering. The seats are QT kevlar. It will have Maxicross tyres on ...

Speedo ????? We rarely get out of 2nd gear in low box, and it's strictly off road competitions that it's designed for. But I'm impressed with these early boxes. This one outlasted the original vehicle body, then it had a LandRover Series 1 body put on it in the early 80's. The diesel engine gave up ...

Hatsu
thanks, the donor box is out of the vehicle but at my mates and I haven't seen it yet, and my trialer is a buggy affair with easy access.
I just needed to know if it was worth the effort.

fourtrack g'box question

My trialler uses a very old Daihatsu gearbox, it's possibly late 70's or early 80's and I think it's out of a UK spec diesel F50 or something like that. Anyway, it's got the long gearstick coming directly out of the selectors. My road motor is a F78 Independant that has a short stick with some kind ...

Hi, I'm new here - but I saw this post and thought I'd join in. I bend front radius arms with a gas axe and a 90 ton press and had no trouble. I've seen arms jammed in something solid, heated and bent with a long pipe ! and the guys done extreme trials without breakage. They'll also weld together to ...
