Old threads rock

I love it when old threads get reborn :-) As for ARB, my father spent stupid $$$ with them on a cruiser. They damaged items and didn't fit it all properly. I.e. how about filling up your brand new shiny truck with glowing ARB bits proud as punch and having diesel pour all over the ground because the...

Would be interesting to see how long your oil could be re-used after processing from a centrifuge to pull particles out.

in other words, how long until the additive packs are consumed...

I wonder how long until we all start going to a depot to reprocess our oil and top up the additive packs?

I could be wrong, and Pongo will no doubt know...

but can't you mix diesel and the oil to help thin it out .. say a 60/40 mix?

I just take the airbox cover off the hilux when in town and when I hit dirt or go a water crossing put it back on for the snorkel to work.

a lot more induction noise and it feels like it is a little more perky down low - but only subjective.. no dyno testing of this.

Thehanko,

I bought my gauges a while back - and they ran some ridiculous deals initially.

Even with the current prices, the exchange rate makes them a quite viable option.

I know one exhaust shop that would argue that point with you..

Weld a manifold or replace the lot - bit of a difference in price.

not the bolt kind - but that kit is indeed a nutsert/rivnut tool.

It looks the same (diff colour) to my avdel one.

It really is similar to a pop rivet gun :)

Yeah there is a kit on egay that is based on that idea (the bolt one).

Surely someone in Melbourne has a kit you can borrow - if you come to Canberra I'll help you out!

I use in my LN106 '93 Hilux

Gearbox, Transfer and front diff = Castrol EPX 80-90w
Rear Diff = Castrol LSX90

And have yet to add it but will put some MBL8 into front diff, gearbox and transfer this weekend.

Cheers

LOL @ love_mud :D I am in the same position, with only a factory LSD in the rear of my Hilux, the pennies are being saved for a front locker.
