guard chop on GQ

need to get my guards cut on my GQ to fit the 35"s as I don't want to lift the body and I don't trust myself to do it (you should see me trimming the hedge, pannel work no way) so was wondering if anyone knows of a good pannel shop in eastern burbs of Melb. it is a nice straight body so want a good ...

my one cost me about $1500 to get done a few years ago
and make sure they put the right ratio back in (long and very costly story)
but any way after I fixed all the little things that went wrong at about 200,000 kms I was very happy with it until it went up in flames at 202,500km
good times

37's are illlegal in Qld, and are they 18x10's?
If so, they will be too.

did you mean legal or illegal?
found my own answer it seems qld is only bothered by how wide tyres are but not by how tall they are (learn something new everyday)
seems strange to me cause larger ...

I am led to believe (i might be wrong) that insurance will only cover legal mods so unless you have your car engineered to run 37" tyres on 18" bead locked rims you will be out off luck on the insurance side of things and they may knock back any clame you make in regards to a vehicle if you run ...

the only 4x4 tyres that we used to repair side walls on was for a guy that did comps. tyres were for off road use only.
if you get court with a side wall repaired tyre on the road your car will be put of the road and if you say which tyre place fixed it they will be fined. it is a rather big no no ...

tyre places are not aloud to do side wall repairs as it will make your car unroadworthy not even aloud to do it for trailer tyres.

caster plates flog out and may need to be replaced every 50K-100K km depending how and where you drive so they work out more costly in the long run and drop boxes give better wheel travel, handling and ride.

and yes I know there will be those that say but I have had caster plates on mine for 200K ...
