the idea is still sort of pointless,if you get water above the bonnet its going straight in, thats why snorkles go roof height and hopefully you dont get good storms where you live either. but if you like it thats all that matters.

it could be bent back but if you heat it up which you'll most likely have to do make sure you reinforce it by welding a gusset on to it as the heating will weaken it.

i was wondering if anyone has installed one of these into their 4wd, if so any chance of pics?

as he said he doesnt want to go the the extremes of a 1uz or commo v6, my mate had a 3rz and he went well plenty of power if thats what your interested in go for it.

ok the only reason im asking as theres a 4wd im wanting to buy and it has this set up with a rapid chip making 134hp the main power gain is made from the chip but hes had it all dyno tuned by a shop ect, so yeh the only problem im worried about is the internals failing or the gearbox letting go due ...

when you say they cant handle the high boost over a long period of time do you mean daily driving conditions or putting it under more pressure in offroad conditions?

As the titles suggests what do you guys think of putting that set up running 10psi or even lower 6-8psi,

Also what model gearbox is in a LN172R

mate yes it will i have a 1uz with 33's and had used the g52 it lasted around 1 year then i distroyed 3rd had it rebuilt ($1600) then 1 month later with no hard driving blew again, im now running a r151 and it would be wise if you bought the r series when you do the conversion.

gday i need to remove the sliding window surrounds for repairs on my 86 4runner canopy as there rusted and dont know how to remove them if anyone has done this or knows how to do this your help would help me out heaps. thank you
