Can you cut the studs in the floorback slightly, and screw a treaded block onto the remaining stud, and then screw a high tensile bolt up through the body mount and into the lift block? Is the tread M10x 1.25? If so, I have a kit that will fit jimnys ready to go. The kit would then be identicle to ...

My brother a I did ours a couple of years ago and from what I remember it was pretty simple, Ours was 2" and was achieved by extending the studs which go from the body to the chassis by making some tube with the inside tapped to match the stud and then locktighted them on, slid on a lift block then ...

After thinking about it a bit more over the last couple of days I'm keen as to do it now and pretty damn tempted to start tearing into the corolla since it just ran out of rego and is sitting there looking sad. I should know if it's feasable $ wise in a few of weeks hopefully when I get a few ...

The cost isn't a major issue Combining 2 cars into one is gunna end up saving me money ( Yeah right) so I'm want to go something a bit different, and I used to have a Jimny a few years ago and still like em. Drew, I'm in Wollongong, 45mins south of Sydney. I was thinking of a rockerhopper so a ...

I'm talking about the supercharged one. I can pull from 40km/h in 5th now no probs so there is still heaps down low. Maybe his "need" to rev it is more of an "urge" to rev it. :)

4A GZE in a Jimny?

Just a curiosity question, has anybody tried this? Its come time for me to change cars again and I'm considering this as I've got the motor already in an old RWD Corolla but it has been slaughtered by hail and probably not worth fixing the body. My 1st question would be fairly common with this motor ...

I used to have a Jimny and they are pretty easy. The genuine bearing is expensive because it has a spacer on one side of it for some reason and I'm pretty sure is the same bearing as the coily. I got a spacer which slides over the axle first which lets you use a common bearing and the seal is a ...

Hi, just thought I'd add my experience to this, I have a 110 trayback and use it for work also, it has around a 70 mm spring lift with coils from Graheme Coopers. I dont know the spring rate but if you ring them and tell them the bumpstop clearances they know what spring to give you. I carry a 400kg ...

Graham Cooper Automotive gets rims made up. 16x8 strong as, bit pricy but worth it I recon. I was looking at off-setting disco rims but was told they are not real strong and they are only 7" anyway. About a year ago I couldn't find disco rims for under 150 each and were hard to come by. Then you ...

I just thought you might be interested, the Suzuki Jimny has this type of bush in their arms. The hole isn't quite as big but then again neither is the bush. If they passed ADR then your ones should have a chance.

I'm doing the pump, lifters and boost as well, but just wondered if anybody had tried it. It looks like a 2 1/2" already so I think under 3" would be a waste. It would be cool if it sounded tough as well so maybe just cut the cans out.

Exhaust for 300 tdi

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if my 300 tdi would benefit much from a larger exhaust. I was thinking 3". Any comment suggestions would be appriciated.
