I've run 27's for 4 years now and have only broken 2. (short side). The breakages were fair enough: 1 was due to a bent housing and 2nd was the tyre binding in the wheel well. (TT09) I run 37's and 40's (comp spec). They have been covered under warranty in any case. I made this choice so I can throw ...

I would like some feedback on whether we should run 2 classes, say under and over 35" tyres. We are getting a lot of inquiries about different cars with smaller tyres feeling they will have too much trouble. All the stages can and have been driven on 33" tyres, but they do much more packing etc to ...

Great weekend-awesome tracks. Thanks to Chad and Pete, Chris, Troy and Brian from GME for their help to keep the Toy going all weekend! Tough tracks all round-broken inner front axle (night stage), broken shock mount (frame twister), damaged cab and need new windscreen (Rocky Horror). Big thanks to ...

brakes/intercooler
I run a standard WRX intercooler on my 3L-many factory intercoolers can be adapted fairly easily with some basic plumbing. In my opinion top mounts work better as there is little space for a front mount and easy to punture off road-of course you need to cut a hole in the bonnet plus a scope which ...

i run 33 x 12.5x15 on mine-its turbo'd but i'm putting in 4.88 diff gears-its too doughy and over runs in low range. OK on the highway though but have to drop back on hills. You probably need to trim out the inner front guards as they'll rub off road-backs are ok just rub the paint off on the frame ...

I use one -works well -15 forward gears, 3 reverse and 2wd low range which is handy. More options basically. High/low selector is where standard 4wd lever is and the other goes where the coin tray thing used to be behind it. The real work is lengthening the front shaft and shortening the rear.
