Cant see boost playing any part.

What was done in the tune, pump timing, injector pressures and extra fuel maybe responsible for the extra noise.

Doesnt sound good but i would check and make sure your pcv or breather is operating correctly or there is no blockages.

You would have to assume the 6hp would be more suited to a bigger/heavier 4wd.

Have you used the winch yet? Why not try it the way it is and if it doesn't suit look at upgrading then.

Why not use a Auber digital gauge. I use one as my pyro and it is very responsive and also records high/low temps. It also allows you to run a alarm or a warning at a selected temp.
