the W56 gearbox you speak of sounds like the supra motor would bolt up to it if it's the same bolt pattern as the other gearboxes it might be worth checking out alot of ppl here put supra motors in there hilux's Funnily enough I'd looked at that, the supra engines have 250+ hp and can be pumped up ...

As previously mentioned I am looking to buy a Rocky or Feroza and doing an engine swap for a hilux engine. Now the rocky's we get here are all fitted with a Toyota 4y 2.2 ltr petrol engine and I have found out that a hilux engine is an almost direct replacement with bellhousings etc all matching up ...

The easiest swap IMHO would be grafting in a whole Toyota engine / gearbox/ transfer case. That way you don't have to worry about custom bellhousings, whether the gearbox can handle the torque etc. Then you could look at fitting the Toyota diffs ... hmmm.... you should just buy a SWB Toyota! :lol ...

Thanks guys, Murcod you mention that the Ferozas gearbox isnt that strong, how about the rockys? We get a weird rocky here the F93LG-MMDS comes with a toyota 4Y 2.2ltr petrol engine as standard , IFS and coils rear, solid roof SWB.
