It goes between the 2 filler / oil level bungs. When the seal between them is shot, the oil pumps from the transfer to the gearbox. As the gearbox fills up the oil runs out of the gearbox level hole back to the transfer case. A little bit of oil will run back to the transfer when you go up a really ...

For this sort of stuff I can recommend Redlands 4WD Centre, 30 Steel Street Capalaba 4157 3823 3990 http://www.redlands4wd.com.au/.
Talk to Peter Kitchin, if there is a problem he can find it. Peter looks after touring 4WDs as well as Competition Rigs. He himself competes in off road events.

Where to buy relay sockets on-line?
I have some major re-wiring to do. I want to control some of my wiring by relay ( the small square Bosch ones). I have occasionally seen mounting sockets for these relays that can be bolted to the firewall, quards etc. This would mean that to replace a relay I just have to unplug it and replace it ...

I bought my camper trailer with independent coil suspension from a place called Streamline Trim at Beerwah. He is an agent for a trailer manufacturer on the Sunshine Coast and he does the canvas work. He is on the corner of Steve Irwin Way and Roys Road (I think) in a small indusrial estate. The guy ...

I have had extractors on both a 2F and 3F and they are different. As indicated above, they look similar, but the bolt pattern is slightly different and the base of the extractors will probably sit well below the chassis line. I have never had a problem getting extractors for my 3F, and as my 60 is ...

As far as I know the chassis dimensions for a 105 series are the same as an 80 series. Just remenber that the 105 is a larger, heavier vehicle so the lift may be a bit harsh on an 80. Most lift kits are suited to a particular vehicle, I know that mine was designed specifically for the load that I ...

The MC on the orange 40 series above is the model used in Australia between 1975 - 79 on early model boosted brakes with 2 wheel cylinders per wheel set up in a leading shoe - trailing shoe configuration. Proportioning is done internally in the MC via a spring separation between the 2 pistons. This ...

Hell, I've had mine forever. I have a 1985 FJ62 with a 3F motor. Watch out for rust in the inside of the "A" pillar and around the roof line just above the gutter, especially at the back. Otherwise, bloody reliable truck. I also have a 100 series but can't bear to ger rid of the old bus, it's too ...

I've got an Opposite Lock twin carrier on the back of my 105 Series and it's bomb-proof. I reckon that I wouldn't have any plastic bumper left by now without it. It has hi-lift mounts built in to the sides and no plastic bits, all steel. The catches are simple over centre clips, low-tech but never ...
