Consequences are only for those who have a timid right foot.

Sounds like you need some 37's!

Anyway some good advice above. The main thing you need to, which you have is determine what size tyre, obviously 33's in this case.

Which means +3" lift, with some adjustment to bumpstops to stop the ...

I used to use a block of foam, but then a mate found some springs to fit, and the rest as they say is history!

Internal Beadlocks

What are peoples thoughts on running Staun/Secondair Internal Beadlocks on the highway for 1000s kms. Need to do a long road trip and ATM only have 1 set of rims, which are setup with Stauns, wondering if there would be any dramas?

Forget the Merc Diesel, I want the new 5.7L Hemi for my Wrangler. I didn't buy a 4x4 for fuel savings. My 2.8d Hilux used to get 15L/100km the way I drove it, my Wrangle gets the same and I get to keep up with traffic :)

My best fuel economy is 12.5L/100km driving to work each day and my worst about 30L/100km, but that was a weekend of blowing away ricers!
I had a 2.8d Hilux, I now get better fuel economy than it, however, when you have the power you tend to use it , which leads to increased fuel economy

A/C is ...

I DIY my general servicing, do get a mechanic to service every 50000km, and will install accessories that I buy, but when it comes to fabrication, I'll leave that to those who know what they are doing for large items; however, small brackets and stuff I'll attempt to knock up.
When it come to ...

Double clutching is for trucks, not needed in lighter vehicles (cars and 4bies). If your 4bies needs it, I be getting your gearbox checked!

On my old 2.8 D hilux I put 235/85R16's on it (up fm 205R16), which is about 2" increase and it sucked big time. Couldn't pull the panties off a hooker, and hurtled down steep hills. You can put up with it but it definately doesn't feel normal.

The old 7.50R16 (standard size tyre on 75 series cruisers) means 7.5" tread width, 7.5" tyre wall height, on a 16" rim. Very close to the 235/85R16 which are about 32" diameter.

Therefore they are slightly larger than your 31's but heaps narrower.

As for the split rims they are excellant bush ...
