i read somewhere that you can clean up the pins with some fine sand paper and get the bearing to slip on with a minimum of interference. makes getting it off in the future much easier. and if you are changing the bearing you should set the preload again. i had to take mine on and off a few times to ...

hey guys thanks for the reply. i found out that the first yr of production 84-85 i think had a smaller flange pattern. and then everything else has the larger pattern. so i swapped on in off a f73 i have sitting around. cheers brenton

just make sure anything you put near something that gets hot is not flammable otherwise it might catch alight and be very hard to put out. if you havent done the doors you might be getting some noise thru them, also are your engine mounts still good and also the gear box and the secondary mount on ...

hey mate the pump mounts down on the drivers side, ive had problems with brackets before. it mounts to the front of the block with two bolts, then the bracket runs down the block and picks up one or two of the bolts for the engine mount. i had a f73 that i had to cut the bracket down near the engine ...

yeah i have a td aswell i didnt mind the non turbo , but once i went turbo prob wouldnt go back , im running 33x12.5 and have no problem sitting on 100 . plus the DL diesels sound so much better than the hilux 2.8 turbo . the DL sound just like big trucks when you run no muffler lol.
