Symptoms...

Wandering steering, pulls significantly to the left, play in the steering wheel (although this can be your steering uni joints).

To check it out, jack the left wheel up off the ground and shake it laterally, if there is movement you'll feel it and you will be able to see the idler ...

The bushes wont do anything for the arm if its the ball joint that is stuffed.

I found www.daicare.com.au in Sydney near cronulla were good on prices back when I last did idlers.

I went from the single parabolic leaf with an extended shackle to the dough dos 35mm lifted h/d five pack and nitrocharger shocks. I didnt do torsions as I didnt see the value in it.

The ride was much stiffer but I didnt get seasick driving and I no longer bottomed out on speedbumps in the burbs ...

Nah, I saw a few around, but I was more interested in getting a good example with low K's and a warranty. This one came up, a country ladies car with warranty and 74000 k's for good money.

Just had to drive 600km to get it. And me and leather wouldnt work out...

Its pretty much stock for the moment, I put a 20mm rear swaybar on to stop body roll and understeer, made a big difference. Also made a brake master cylinder brace for it.

Still running stock boost and turbo as it has another year of factory warranty, after that maybe some go faster bits.... The ...

I loved the freoza for about five years. BUT I love my forester GT more, love the highway, love the backroads, love pretending to be a rally driver on dirt roads (much to my girlfriends horror)...

Love the roza, till it doesnt suit your needs anymore....

It was three inch aluminised mandrel bent pipe, I also ran a unifilter pre filter in the head of the snork.

Hey, just dropped in, saw this...

Check the thin metal disc brake shroud that goes behind the disk itself, it may be loose and could make a noise like that...

I found the car handles better without it, it certainly improved the ride quality.

I would suggest you do it and drive the car a bit, then make your mind up if you like it more. It certainly does handle offroad better. Just be aware that in some conditions the vehicle will handle differently ...

That noise on full lock is the steering stops, get under there and have a look at the front of the control arm and you will see a ball bearing looking thing, now look where this mates to the back of the wheel hub.

Some of that convoluted pipe with the circumferential wire can restrict airflow somewhat due to air friction - the inner surface is far from smooth and will create induction resistance.

I take it off when I do quarter mile runs on Friday nights. :lol:
