Turns out it is 1990 2-LT Surf.
In great nick. Only the axle seals were leaking (blocked diff breather).
Apart from the sunroof (cable and I wold not use it anyway), everything works.
So I bought it.
Thanks for all the helpful responses....lol

Rate the 1993 4Runner Tubo Diesel
I have the opportunity to pick up a very cheap 1993 Turbo diesel 4Runner. I already have a Holden V6 (formerly 22r ) powered 1991 petrol 4Runner so I am familiar with how these go. Anyone on the forums owned or own a turbo diesel and what are they like? Acceleration, towing etc? Any common probs to ...

Input comes from the transfere which will remain in the vehicle or the button on the low range selector stick. All I need is to ...

I need to know if a V6 1995 4Runner fuel tank (EFI engine so it has the swirl tank built in) will fit in the same posi as the standard tank in a 1990 22R 4Runner?

offset transfer
Yes!This a Turbo Bundera box and transfere.
By the way what is the problem with chain drive transfer's.All the heany duty boxes seem to have them?
I am not planning any radical rock hopping.Mainly beachwork, hills(like the Brindabella's) and the usual bush track mudhole sought of off roading.

I can reccomend any Toyota. Ya can flog em and bog em,hit em with a stick. Drown em and roll em and fix em flick. S&*T that's pretty poetic. It's a common known fact that Toyota parts grow wild along most bush tracks right next to the holden parts (like the same climate ya know.) Honestly, bloody ...

Rough idle?
Heres something to try at night. Start your car. Lift the hood and using a pump spray with water in it spray fine mist around the coil lead where it goes into the coil which should be on your R/H guard looking at the engine. If you see a major "FAT" blue spark and the engine stalls you have a ...
