Well I called the gas place they don't do any mods, so I called Mitsubishi spoke to a technician he went through the manuals and looked for bulletins. Could not find anything, so I got a new plate and pins, timed it up like it is suppose to be and now the car runs brilliant better then it ever did ...

mmm that is a good point, yes it does have dual fuel and you are right about the gas, maybe that is why Mitsubishi does know anything about it, my uncle had the gas conversion after he brought it, I wonder if this mod was done during the fitting of the gas. I might contact the gas place that fitted ...

thanks for the scan, well third time apart this morning. Yes the pins on the plate have been modified, you can see where the pins where originally but the wholes have been blanked off and moved 2 teeth around. Well I timed it first to the mark on the gear, did not started, on the mark on the plate ...

Thanks for you reply, did the mark on the cam shaft gear sensor plate line up with the TDC mark on the cam gear, the one on the crank shaft? On this model the actual plate on the back is not in line with the key whole grove on the gear, there are locating pins and it is not meant to line up. So I am ...

Thank for your info, I have seen the universal ones I just was not sure if they would be strong enough if the harmonic balancer has been loctited on.

Who is maxi drive? I do need to get a crank shaft pully holder.
