Hey Rick i thought as per your first post that there would be something happening at ALL of your agents in ALL states .

Imagine my dissapointment when i phoned (Vic) and was told there was no function "only in Sydney" "but you can come down and buy a copy if you want "

let me clear some of this up for you ...i have a 4.2td and run both 35's and 37's with 4.6 ratio's and the difference is 150rpm between the two tyre sizes at 110k/hr .
Heres what a GU will do at 110k's

stock standard 2550rpm

35's-4.6ratio's 2550rpm

37's-4.6ratio's 2400rpm

and i still tow a 1.5 ...

I have a diesel Gas Australia system fitted on a GU 4.2t ,have had it for nearly 3 years no probs in my application it makes 15rwkw's and was shown to lower temps by a couple of degrees the torque was a huge increase .

As for fuel the amount of diesel i save i use in gas (so you can say i save $4 ...

i have a 6" mannel mega lift kit in a gu wagon , its about 2yrs old now sits great and the ride is good to .i have a far bit of weight all the time to , k-mar bar and wheel carrier, rear draws full with recovery stuff and a 37" spare that weighs 59kgs
the rear sits slightly heigher than the front ...

yes from the turbo all the way out ,no noise economy is better .
any car will benefit from breathing better. i notice your in melb and do trailers /where are you we could swap ideas and maybe you will have somethoughts for my trailer

since fitting mine i have been told of improvements (more power less gas)
temps were taken after the turbo ,normal fitting for an EGT gauge

yes it has a 3" zorst ,that is a must do improvement with any diesel gas or not

diff ratio's are the best way to go i went from 4.1's to 4.65's and on 37's the car still drives like stock on the freeway --- have checked the speedo with a gps and its bang on .

same on 35's only runs about 120rpm more at 110k's

wouldn't mind knowing more about a new 5th gear if anyone has tryed ...

i have it on my gu and have found it has worked well.
the cost for me has worked out well as i now (many mods later) have good power with less pump mods and a small turbo .

hi Rick ,it was definately better this year than other previous years .only thing i would add is more info .IE: when Mal left the course in the mud run i still dont know what the penaty was ,so more tec info would be good .

been there done that many years ago ,and i did the stupid thing and sold it ,lost heaps .

looks like the impact was above the chassy so should be repairable , if you've got people offering help take it and fix it.

I have a 2000 model Dx that was originally non-turbo and after a lot of time and a bit of cash i now have 120rwkw at 15 pound boost with 37' tyres.
so yes you can do a lot with that motor .
just a heads up with the fuel pump it will have no boost compansater and can be ...

try south coaste towbars ,he used to be in f/meadow be is now in warrawong .

if there is nothing around he might be able to get a blank and drill it out to the right stud spacings .

ok i see now it is the speed the combustion temps rise to fast to effect the block thanks.

I do already have a shopping list that includes ,booste comensator ,pyro gauge and intercooler .

no i dont have a gauge for egts in car but it has been checked on a dyno as i mentioned before.

i am a little puzzeled about one thing though ,if your internal temp and egt are high enough to do damage how can you say that you would see no difference in the engine temp gauge .

one more thing to add ,it has been said that more fuel added means more heat .

however i have found that my totall ltrs/100 has not changed at all ,i have found that now i use 4lrs/100 less diesel and use 3-4ltrs/100 of gas so my totall is still the same as before the gas .

i have an injected system on my new 6ltr VE ,had to wait for a set of bigger injecters from japan
but now you can hardly notice a power drop from petrol to lpg so seems ok .

as for how much fuel the ve is heavier and more powerfull than my old lpg 5ltr VR so even though the injected system is ...

oh just clarify what i term as a vapore draw system is the type were they have no coverter and just pull vapores from the tank as for mine
yes it was fitted by dieselgas technologies in kingswood.
its not a vapore draw it feeds to a small converter in the engine bay
as for an intercooler its on ...

i run a deisel gas system no probs so far ,i check my ltrs/100 every time i fuel up. they say you can run 3-4ltrs /100 any more will be bad so dont get greedy.

as for the vapore draw system ive been told it will work well but if you get condensation in the system and you draw that moisture into ...
