I have drive flanges.
And I've got plenty left if anyone needs them.

Re: Maxidrive Locker Issue
Sounds like the vac diaphragm it is not pushing far enough to engage the splines. Pull the vac diaphragm off the diff and push the sleeve further towards the diff centre and re-test if proper engagement is acheived. I converted mine to +'ve pressure to solve a very similar issue.

Re: Dana 300 v Lt230
The LT230 is a constant/all wheel drive transfer, it has a centre diff between the front and rear tail shafts which can have one side locked to the housing giving a locked diff. this setup is spring engaged/disengaged, which when under load(through differential) can take time to engage/disengage ...

I tried this on a project which never saw the light of day - I could not stop the oil leaking around the O-ring seals on the selector input shafts, New oversized O-rings and it would stop leaking untill I moved the shafts. Both the centre lock and high/low shafts leaked considerably - and that's ...

Benny, Are you pulling the welded centre out of the moonbuggy???
Even with a single piece cross shaft and new thrust washers, it'll flog out in about 3-4 runs/digs/sessions.

Dead easy if you don't need to get the shafts out.
Seals are best pushed out with fluid pressure(read in car with engine running)
But air pressure works too.

Hi.
You are correct about the bolts on top. 3 = 3 bolt and 4 = 4 bolt.
4 bolts are slightly less problematic with leaking, but only slightly and I don't know why.
The power steer hose will need to be modified to fit a metric 4 bolt. easily done with brass adapter and olive.
No strength difference ...

IMO:
Air shocks should only be used in a maximised droop suspension set up. ie 2-4 inches up travel and the rest droop/down travel. Perfect for slow rock crawlers, not so good for racers.

Re: coilovers from FOA
Just my OPINION.
For the little bit extra it will make it a lot easier to get a setup that will do what you want - vs one that is SH#Thouse - first up.
You become very limited with your ride height options if your out a little, else the springs will dislocate at droop.
BTW i have never had first ...

Those symtoms are exactly what my discovery 1 on 32'' tyres with 2-3 inch lift does when the panhard rod bushes are cacktus. It is much more pronounced when towing also. I would start there. I would be very suprised if the diffs have any effect on it.

The Toyota stuff is usually pretty good. Still nees preheating and someone with some skills on the torch.
Take the oportunity to upspec the studs/bolts.
You have sacrifised some strength with the 80's stuff anyway.
