yeh i was told by the DOT that if my TJ jeep has a build date before the 6th month 1997 then i can run it without the doors, because that is when some law was passed to do with side intrussion bars.

i believe that legends would be the way to go, for it will mainly come down to driver ability when all the rigs are basically the same, supermod will have a fair degree of driver ability also but will have a fair amount of "who can afford the best will have the best"

why havent the people with issues over this tried to make a phone call to the TTC organisers? or would that be to hard? you are complaining that you are not getting the answers you want, but you wont go to the effort of contacting the real world to speak to the people in charge.
