does anyone have any idea how much i should be paying someone to put a exedy safari tuff or sports tuff clutch in my ute,

it is running at 15 psi and close to full fuel, with standard turbo and pump and a set of 35's.

which clutch would be more suitable safari or sports tuff?

ha ha clanky real funny. yeah think it could be clutch related due to it having stuff all clutch travel aswell.

when trying to select 1st and reverse in turbo dies gq ute, it is having trouble getting into gear and basically has to be forced, wat is the major problems with the gearbox when this occurs? just asking for a mate.

yeah i have been thinkin something may have broken when i snapped an arm in half, but the other only had a slight bend. seems to be fine when driving though with the new arms, just starting off

so tightened up the arms as much as possible, clunk has gone but still gettin a tick off the start off, im thinkin the tailshaft is in need of some grease!

just replaced lower arms to 15mm longer superior arms to suit 5 inch lift after snapping one and slightly bending the other, and now getting a clicking sound when begining to move forward, and just this morn got a rather loud clunk sound after reversing then stopping, but fine when driving. any ...

anyone got a detailed pic of the td42 fuel pump and the screw i need to turn up a qaurter of a turn to run some more fuel through.

intercooled mine with just a factory intercooler, and wound boost to 14.5 and more fuel handles it fine, but now want more out of it. if you wanna go much more than 15psi you'll prob wanna look at a bigger fuel pump, because the standard pumps tend to run out of fuel after about 15 psi.

when goin to superior longer arms, how much longer am i supposed to go to suit a 4-5 inch lift? and by lengthening these, do i have to do the uppers aswell? or can you get away with out doin these?

just snapped one in half and bent the other, will gq ones fit in its place. just need some for the w/e then goin superior?

Wondering how much fuel you can get out of the standard pump? can it produce enough to run 15-16psi?

im runnin about 14 through it now with the fuel pump adjusted, just wondering if i can get that little bit more, and also it doesnt produce much soot out, is this a sign of not enough fuel?

just wondering if its ok to run 15'rims on the rear with 35's, and 16's on the front with 315/75/16 tyres which have similar diameter, and still engage 4wd?

still the standard turbo, only making 90 kilowatts from 14.5 psi with 35's though,, after doin all this the clutch is now slipping when i put my foot down in 3rd and 4th so have just dropped it back to 12 untill i get a new tuff clutch, dont really know the full details on this banjo filter and the ...

just put a set of 35's on and wound boost up to 14psi with more fuel and the clutch has just starterd slipping. is there anything i can do to fix it or make it last a lil longer, or should i just go get a tougher cluth. and wat is the goin price for a better clutch for a 4.2 ?

yeah as far as i know the fuel was wound up accordingly, and just replaced the fuel filter.

hey guys just had my gu tuned up and the highest boost that it would run was about 14psi before it started running out of fuel, still have the standard fuel pump, but thought it would get a bit more out of it. they think if the injectors were cleaned out it would go better, but wanted $750 to do ...

so i got the intercooler on and running. no hole in the bonnet yet. but been driving it around, it seems to boost up a lil bit later and ive lost 1 psi of boost to bring it back to 9 psi, any thoughts?????

wat results do i get out of it? and anyone got any advice on how to put one on. picked up a factory top mount 4.2 intercooler and want to install it over the w/e. just need some pics of how to plumb it all up, and will need to hack into the bonnet,

yeah one of my starters has this problem too. the first time you turn the key it doesnt throw in, but after that its fine, in then died and just didnt even make a clicking sound.

dunno wats up with that,

so got everything tested today at the mechanics, it seems that the battery is feeding enough power to the starter through the power cable and it had a good earth. so we were pretty sure that the brushes are sticking, does anyone know someone who could fix this up for me fairly cheap?
