Would unplugging the battery do the same as crawling under the dash and unplugging the ECU?

Are there any reasonably priced conditioners etc to use on the soft tops? I'm looking at getting a new top soon as my current one is stuffed but I have nowhere shady to park. Obviously the sun is going to kill the top, but something to put on it to maybe extend its life a little longer would be good.

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows where the relay for the intermittent windscreen wipers is located in a 1990 Vitara. The intermittent wipers currently don't work, so I presume its a relay/wiring problem somewhere. The HI & LO wipers work fine, so I guess that rules out a motor problem. Cheers ...

Is it really worth paying big bux to fit extractors to a vitara? I'd imagine the performance improvement would be so minuscule that you wouldn't even notice it.
