I used Penrite limslip 140 for the rear of my GQ when I still had it. And I think Penrite Hypoid 84w/140 for the front and transfer case. But after I installed the front airlocker I used limslip 140 in that also.

It was an auto so that had Castrol Trans Z in it.

I had a Finer filter pod type airfilter on my Feroza (about 6 years ago now) and I also fitted an outer "foam sock" over the Pod. As far as particle filtration is concerned I dont believe it was any worse than the paper barrel type OE filter. The car did gain a small amount of power. But it did ...

Procomp ignition is absolutely rubbish!

The procomp CDI is a very poorly made ripoff copy of the MSD.

Stay away from it!

I sold my SWB GQ on gas last year with 389,000 kms on it and the TB42 engine in it had no signs of dying what so ever.

With TB42 engines, fix the head properly and convert it to electronic ignition (if carby) and youll have a strong workhorse of an engine.

18 something years ago I saw this guy use a highlift for its intended purpose. It slipped off while he was using it and whacked him on the sheen. Took a chunk of flesh off.

After I saw, I would never touch one.

Im sure the old TB42 engines on GQs had far more cylinder head failures than this ZD30 blowing turbos.

Man, I think its obvious what you need to do, but Ill tell you anyway.

Try the cheap way if you like by first taking the waterpump off and re-applying a new seal on it.

Now what I would do is, put a new waterpump and seal on it.

The 2.8 isnt that bad of an engine is it?

I reckon if you really want to drop the TD42 in it then sell the 2.8 as it is and get some money for it.

Not only is that a really bad LPG installation, it is also DANGEROUS!

So with the gas mixer popping off the carby so easily you could have a potential gas explosion because its not fastend in anyway!

I sold mine two months ago for $8000.

A thirsty dual fuel with 389k.

Apart from front air lockers, it was stock. 2" lift and 31s

Very tidy car for an 88 model swb though.
