If it was a choice between 2.8TD GU or 4.2 EFI GQ at the same money I'd go for the GU, not everyone has the extra 5-10k for a 4.2 petrol or td. You still get the stronger axles & CVs, 4.6 diff gears, better brakes, better interior, updated looks.

I bought a 4wd Systems Lokka for my Mav but it wouldn't fit up front because they're 2 pinion and my diff was 4 pinion, so luckily I was able to run the Powertrax Lock Right (which I prefer anyway). It makes the steering heavier, smaller turning circle, etc but I had twin Lock Rights in my Zook and ...

Locker for 4 pinion front diff

What locker options are there for 4 pinion H223 31 spline front diffs? I purchased a 4WD Systems Lokka but the mechanics found that I have a 4 pinion front instead of the common 2 pinion. Aside from changing the housing, are there other options? Will the Richmond Lockright 3220 4 pinion to suit ...

The flat plate would be easier/cheaper to make but then you need to fabricate a steering shaft anyway so it defeats the point of having a bolt on kit. In my searching on here i've seen some people use the standard pitman arm, if the box was positioned slightly lower than normal it should help with ...

I'm still waiting on an adaptor to my PS conversion too. I've cut a block of alloy down into a wedge but I think it might be too thick/greater angle. I can't test fit it until I do my g16a engine conversion.

Don't get a cheap Cherokee, mine cost a fortune in repairs. I'd go for a GQ, there's plenty around 5k and they'll be much stronger and more reliable than your other options.

I've got a soft back ute, MU Canvas makes products that suit. Mine doesn't leak when driving in the rain but water will run from the tray into the cab if parked facing downhill slightly.

Driving it as is i'd give it a few days before you do the headgasket or piston ring. It sounds like its just free-boosting ie. the wastegate isn't opening at all.

The RB25 T3 turbo is designed for a 2.5L engine. Even with the ceramic exhaust wheel and ball bearings its not a quick spooling turbo. On an RB20 engine they don't spool until around 3000rpm and hit full boost until after 3500rpm, you're not going to be seeing boost on a 1.3L zook until well past ...

91 WT, standard 1.3 with extractors and exhaust, 31s, 3.9 diffs, S1 Rockhoppers

Foot flat to the floor in 5th it eventually gets to 100 (up to 110 on a downslope) but no chance uphill.

check out the range of silverstones
they have a really good simex extreme copy
but also a few that look like baja claws and ive heard they work very well.
and silverstone prices are right
I have the simex copies and they rock
good luck with your choice
I would agree ...

$350 is pretty good. I'm fabbing up my own wedge out of aluminium, i've shaped it i'm just deciding whether to tap holes for bolts from both sides or countersink some bolts into the wedge.
