Ive recently done the conversion on a gu from zd30 to td42, IMO if your car is in good nic and nothing out of the norm, you would be better of saving some coin selling it and just buying a td42 GQ .finding all the parts your going to need, short of getting your hands on a written off td42gq will be ...

I do like the look of the 1st manifold shown by northside. anyone else think this will work well? is there anything internal in there or is it just that shape thrown ontop of a chopped up manifold? Any more details on how that vehicle went?

Yea thats right mate. unbolt and throw the complete zd30 throttle over ya shoulder and the gq one goes straight on but uses one less nut i think. if you bent the top of the pedal abit would reduce the angle but i didnt do this as i stole my throttle out of my winch truck

I plan on runing in the winch challenges and dirt spritz ...

Dont weld it, just shim it up so it is nice and tight. I run a really tight LSD in the rear of my comp truck and love it. Best $10 I ever spent. X2 I made my own shim out of sum plate bout 1.5mm thick. I ended up with a rear locker it is solid any time you use any throttle, but if you just roll ...

diff is trying to drive its way under and out the front of the car, due to the 6 inch lift causing the angle of your rear suspension arms to increase. dodgy fix, you could put a limiting strap on. proper, longer arms to decrease the angle and soildish bushes to keep it all in place. Or just get rid ...
