Stuck slip yoke help!

Anyone got any tips on un-sticking a stuck slip yoke on a rear drive shaft? I've tried bashing it with a hammer which didn't work, also tried pumping it full of grease to force it out but its not completely stuck so the grease just leaks out. I've got it soaking in wd40 at the moment, any help would ...

From memory there is power going to it constantly which is how the wiper returns to the bottom when you turn the switch off, rather than just stopping dead half way up the windscreen (like when you kill the ignition). Mine was actually stuck part way up and the motor was trying to turn, it was like ...

Definatly pull the motor and test it. I thought mine was stuffed, pulled it out and its turning fine, plugged it into the car and it turns fine...turns out the pivots for the wiper relay rods had seized up, used a bunch lithium spray-grease and worked the wipers by hand and they're workin fine now.

Sure did, had to put like 10 washers on each spotlight to make them sit right but I rekon it looks fricken sweet, better than the bent up stock bar that was on it

Need to update my forum display pic to show the HIDs and bullbar!

just a quick question. what was wrong with the factory wiring to need this setup??? factory wiring has no relays at all to start with, and I'm running higher rated headlight bulbs (60w/100w). If I had've left the wiring stock and put in the uprated bulbs I could've had melted wiring, stuffed ...

My headlight relay box

So I've got a fully rewired headlight loom with spotlights in my sierra, but at the moment the relays are exposed in the engine bay and I'm getting fed up with replacing them when they fail due to getting water in them. So here's homebrew my solution: http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/2244 ...

Well, it seems to be fixed. I put the interior back together and taped up the loom, but instead of using the stock alternator wire I've run a 8ga wire directly from the terminal on the alternator to the battery. Took it out for a decent run with plenty of high revs and all lights on and didn't have ...

Re: power probs

Hey how are you? First i would disconnect your upgrade and wire all back to stock. Retest the system. It may be coincidence that it happened when fitting the upgrade, but nothing to do with it. Process of elimination. If you go back to stock and it still does it, then you know its not directly to ...

One hell of a strange problem

I've got one hell of a strange problem, it's a bit long winded but it will definatly leave you scratching your head: 1989 WT Sierra Hardtop, I decide its time for a headlight upgrade, so in goes Narva Headlight Conversion kit plus Ultima 175s, with brand spaking new wiring loom and relays, the lot ...
