The problem is.....
Front tail shaft has cv's at either end and front one is kaput!!!
Being replaced by Jeep and picking it up tomorrow.
Hope this doesnt prove to be a weak spot

Have any of you guys driven an Aussie Army UNI MOG. They are very capable. Spent a few years in some crap vehicles but offroad they are hard to beet. A little large for tight tracks but will ford unprepaird about 2ms go backwards at about 90ks have diff locks super low rnge & will carry a toyota ...

Went off road last night at Tallarook and was really pleased with how well the kj went considering IFS. However, once I hit the highway, got a vibration in what feels like the dif, or maybe tail shaft.
Has anybody had this trouble with their Jeep?
Are the tailshafts or dif housings light weight ...

Have had kj cherokee for a year but little off-roading so far. Been waiting for suspension - see my car in this forum "kj lift".
BUT DO NOT GET A DISCOVERY. We had a 96 v8 auto which spent more time at the dealer workshop than in our garage. Put it this way, Land Rover itself extended our warranty ...

I have an 02 kj with rear drum brakes. Anyone else getting noises from their brakes when applied. Mine sounds like an oval brake drum with mud in it. Dealer charged me to clean them and worked great for a day. HUH!
