Well I never really worried about the glow plug personally.
I swapped some of the little plugs out of the back from the broken one into the new one.
And the same applys to the water in fuel lamp, didn't even realize there was one on there :P

Well it did so for me, for me only the oil gauge doesn't work as you'll need to wire that up but the rest did.
Mine was for a 89 Diesel and used a 90 Petrol.
Shouldn't be much different if yours is a later model though.
