Re: 2.8 GQ Patrol Eating Oil

So far Ive tried penrite 20-50 diesel oil, and valvoline diesel oil, both show no difference. It blows bluey/white smoke at higher revs than down low, a part from when it's first started - it will smoke up until 3rd gear than go away.

2.8 GQ Patrol Eating Oil

Hey People,

I have a very annoying problem. On a 600km trip, my car uses about 500ml of oil. My engine starts fine every morning first go. Its only got 150000 k's on the clock so I don't know what it could be.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Dylan.

my m8 had a 2001 wrangler. awsomely fun car but it drinks waaaaay too much. he got 350kms from a 70ltr? tank. also for the size of the engine, its torque was kinda disapointing. if i had to choose between 4wd GV and wrangler id choose the wrangler simply because the new ones are a better desing and ...

my sister is going to buy a 5 door vitara soon, they have full time 4H, and 4L

To my knowledge, you cannot raise or lower suspension by 1/3 of compressed and uncompressed spring. Also 50mm body lift is acceptable.
I think u will find that you might have to change your driving style a little bit to accomadate for the lift, but shouldnt be much of a problem.
