Re: Allied competition beadlock wheel 17in
put the rim on a 20 litre drum so the tyre can hang down evenly.
Once you get all the bolts started do them to 10Nm in a cross pattern, then 15, then to 20.
If you have trouble getting them started buy half a dozen longer bolts or some bits of threaded rod and nuts to get things going then once ...

they loose the inner bead at low psi . you would be better off spending extra on a walker evans rather than being disappointed with the savannah .

Re: dana 60s into gq patrol
No drugs.. a nissan crown wheel is approx 9 inches, a d60s is approx 10.5 inches plus allow 10mm of cast housing compared to 3mm steel housing of a nissan.
That would make the d60 at least 2inches bigger overall
happy to be proven wrong. maybe a photo of both with a tape measure.
i owned a jeep ...

common place for guys in the usa to use 14b up front in low pinion configuration with no issues
on 49 inch tyres and big block engines .

Re: Comp Results
i hope it is not a advertising catalog as we need a good Australian magazine dedicated
to 4x4 and offroading as even dirt comp is going wayward and is half filled with quad
bike rubbish now .
would be good to have a Australian magazine similar to Crawl as that is probably
the best 4x4 mag around .

Re: Wheel Alignment
so what exactly did they do if they didnt do a caster sweep to even check the caster , didnt correct the toe in wtf is that all about
so they have effectively left it just as rooted as when it drove in without even checking the caster to give an accurate diagnosis .
fix the toe issue then take it ...

Re: NISSAN GQ FRONT DIFF WHEEL TO WHEEL INTO 105 CRUISER
get the tubes cut off your housing and welded onto the gq centre section so you still run 100 series
axles , cv,s , hubs , steering and brakes . to do this you will need to use an arb locker and change
the side gears so that the toyota axles fit the nissan locker .

Re: Hyme joints on the road...
metal joints are a little noiser but aslong as you look after them ie wd 40 them once a week they are not too bad
mine are on a long arm suspension setup on my jeep and i dont think they ride any worse than the gq trailing arm
bushes i have used in their place , bushes make the car feel like it ...

Re: Hyme joints on the road...
mine have only just worn out after 45,000 klm/5years and i am engineered with them for road use , will be replacing them
with a combination of heims and jonnie joints . i prefer hiems over rubber bushes as my car doesnt seem to wander about
with heims like it does with rubber bushes in the control ...
