Wooooaaaaahhhhh been a while since I have cruised THIS forum! You guys are still talking about the same stuff that the old Aus WARFS guys were talking about. Now I am reaching back into the foggy memories of about 2000, when there were a heap of us running about looking for lockers.

As I recall ...

Funny you shouldmention that:

"Wanna go for a drive in the Hilux kid?"
He starts giggling and blowing raspberries, bouncing up and down in your arms. (He is five months old.)

"Or do we wanna go in Mums lil car."
He makes a noise kind of a cross between a cat getting stepped on and a growl and ...

Thanks lads, being someone who is not mechanically minded at all, I just didn't know how hard it would be. Sounds like allot of dramas for what we are getting. Looks like I will just have to part ways with my Hilux...or the wife.

Nah the little fella might miss her.

Thanks again,
Muddy.

Gearbox from a Surf into an Aussie SR5.

Guys and Gals,
I apologize if this question has already been asked, however I was wondering about transferring an Auto box from a diesel Surf or Prado into an 02 diesel SR5 Hilux. My wife and I have recently moved to an Alpine area, so we need the Hilux to deal with snow as well as lug wood about ...

F-75 Manual needs a home.

Guys and Gals,
I have a copy of a Rocky workshop manual care of Big Stu and also an F-75 original owners manual. Seeing as I now have a Hilux I have no need for them anymore and allot of gear is being turfed in the recent move. If you want the manual or workshop manual, just drop me a line here ...

I had this problem with my Rocky, a few things decided it for me:

1. Cost: Daihatsu is pulling out of Australia, that is well known. For a long time I put up with the prices, however the final straw was when a set of rear wheel bearings took nearly two weeks to track down. I compared prices for a ...

The troopy would be a good choice as you can walk into just about any mechanic and get parts. Allot of Government bodies, mines and other contractors use Toyota's so parts will never be an issue. Where I live there are allot of people that travel across Australia as we have allot of major highways ...

I have heard that the layer of white rubber under the surface is not as hard wearing as the black rubber

I may be wrong but tyres are black because they add carbon to the rubber when they make the tyre.

How far you will get a Feroza also depends allot of the driver as well.
