I'm running dual 23-spline t-cases behind a reasonably built V8 and a tranny with a granny first. Haven't had any problems with this setup yet. Personally, I'd be afraid to try 21-spline cases, I'll keep the fuse at the output shaft, it's much easier to replace on the trail when it breaks than an ...

It may still need a separator, just not a supply; it has it's own sump. There will quite possibly be ring leakage that results in a little oil downstream. No big deal really, it's a lot less than a system with an oiler in the suction line would have.
